SPIDER-MAN 4 Villain Revealed

Spiderman 4 Black Cat
This story has passed from gossip to reality!!
We have been informed from reliable and trustworthy sources that Sam Raimi and the whole production set have started auditioning female actresses for the very desirable role of "The Black Cat" as one of the villains in the upcoming Spider-Man 4.

It is confirmed that the role of Felicia Hardy has been sought after by Rachel McAdams and Romala Garai who has met with the right people. McAdams (who starred in 'Wedding Crashers' and 'Sherlock Holmes') will probably be well placed to get the role , and if not well the producers are surely giving her a whole lot of thought.

(Rachel McAdams)

So it seems that all of Raimi's talk of The Lizard and how he wanted to go back to basics wasn't really that indicative of what the production as a whole really wanted to do with this new spidey.
It can be said that the Black Cat's character will  complement well with Raimi's Spider-Man's evolution as a movie character and with his emotionally messed-up life, which reminds us of Harry Potter in a way...

Anyway according to the storyline our spidery friend is said to have been introduced to the luscious Black Cat, while she's still  cat thief who is trying to rescue her sick father from the confines of prison. And their relationship develops from there our friend the walking spider looks only for companionship but the story seems to develop and they become more intimate......

Spider-Man 4 Poster

Here is the official movie poster of SpiderMan4 that has been provided for the impatient fans:
(Click on the poster to enlarge it.)

The filming is subject to change but basically the story is this: The producer Grant Curtis, actor Dylan Baker and even the director have all seem to come to the conclusion that fans were distracted by the sheer number of villains seen in the previous Spider-Man and Sam Raimi has said that he wants to go back to the basics. After the many interviews and comments it is unanimous that the Lizard will probably be the one and only "Villain". The Lizard who has, Dr. Curt Connors as an opponent has been somewhat introduced in previous films; as a matter of fact it leads to speculate that is could be seen that the animal research he is seen involved with in Spider-Man 3 will probably be the cause of his transformation or as some call it mutation into the monster he will become...

So it seems that is will be the first of the Spider-Man Series Movies that will not include one of the classical Arch-enemies. The Green Goblin, Venom and Doctor Octopus will all have to go and recharge their batteries while Peter Parker fights another kind of evil probably one who's powers reside in the mind and not superpowers.
